The late-stage diagnosis crisis is that most breast cancers in underserved regions are still found after the disease has spread, when treatment is harder and survival is lower. This campaign funds the two proven shifts: information that brings women in earlier, and an exam they can afford when they arrive. We use England’s stage figures as an illustration of the cliff, not as a claim that every partner site will match NHS outcomes. A great deal, in systems that can treat what they find. Cancer Research UK reports almost 100% five-year survival at stage 1 in England and more than 30% at stage 4 for women diagnosed 2018–2022. Earlier presentation is the lever this appeal funds. It is not a guarantee of those percentages overseas. Stage 2 is around 90% and stage 3 around 75% in that same England series. The drop from early to late is the argument for screening and for community awareness. It is also why we refuse to print a fake “lives saved” ticker.
